It is with great pleasure that the promoting association Whats Art announces the addition of a new city to the 2026 Art Festival project. Montefano (MC) will also host the Festival, which is already well into preparations for its tenth edition. With the Montefano stop, scheduled for June 26th, five cities will be involved in an increasingly inclusive format. In its pursuit of protecting and promoting performance art, it has succeeded in engaging thoughtful and forward-thinking administrators, capable of grasping the importance of unity of purpose in cultural promotion. The idea of free, intergenerational, and cosmopolitan artistic enjoyment, capable of producing benefits for both body and soul, is gaining ground. And with it, the awareness that promoting artistic events contributes to the promotion of the local area, a common good that must be valued as an essential resource for life. The 500-plus artistic proposals received through the call for artists opened in February have been extremely high. The artistic direction is already working on selecting the performers for the 2026 edition, which will, after Montefano, reach Porto Recanati on June 27th, Grottammare on June 28th, Numana on July 4th, Grottammare again on July 5th, and Recanati on July 11th and 12th. After the closing event in Recanati, the festival will be repeated in Montefano for a special date on July 25th, again in the historic center of Montefano.
The collaboration with the volunteer association La Rondinella, active since 2004 in promoting and producing shows to enliven the town’s cultural life, is invaluable. They will be actively involved in organizing the Montefano Festival.
