The highly anticipated Art Festival 2026 kicks off on Friday, June 26, 2026. This multidisciplinary event will enliven the Marche region until July 12, spanning three provinces and showcasing theater, contemporary circus, dance, and performances by international artists.
The town of Montefano will inaugurate the festival, hosting the event in its full format for the first time thanks to a collaboration with the Teatro La Rondinella Association. The historic center will transform into a vast, open-air stage, featuring five different performance sites spread across streets and squares, creating an immersive, roving experience.
Featured artists on opening night include: Revolé (Italy) with *arnevale, an eco-themed contemporary circus and aerial acrobatics show; Anima Company with The Simon Show, a puppet theater performance; Camila Fernández with Tangueando: The Journey of Tita, a performance blending dance and storytelling; Brunitus with Giróstatus, a show centered on movement and diabolo skills; and Torpeza Ritmika, with an engaging Cyr wheel performance. Rounding out the experience, a food and drink area will be set up in Piazza Bracaccini, serving as a meeting point for the audience and artists.
The festival continues on Saturday, June 27, in Porto Recanati with an evening featuring three high-impact performances on a single stage set up in Largo Porto Giulio: The Rose of Sand by Torpeza Ritmika; Ècolore, an evocative hair-suspension performance by the duo Las Birdies (Italy/Belgium); and Back to Life 2.0 by Pyrovaghi, a show blending theater, dance, and fire.
On Sunday, June 28, the festival moves to a different province, arriving in the charming historic center of Grottammare to bring the upper town to life with numerous performance spots. The evening is organized in collaboration with the Consorzio Vecchio Incasato di Grottammare, which will complement the artistic performances with a rich street food trail featuring refreshment points set up specifically for the occasion. The evening’s lineup includes: Ècolore, the hair-suspension performance by the duo Las Birdies (Italy/Belgium); Tangueando, el viaje de Tita by Camila Fernández, a blend of physical theater and dance; the animated theater and puppetry of Compagnia Ánima; the spectacular visuals of Back to Life 2.0 by Pyrovaghi; and an engaging reggae/Latin live set by Marumba & Playmore.

An opening weekend truly rich in emotion, featuring performances of great artistic caliber, where the fusion of artistic languages, cultures, and skills takes center stage—all driven by collaboration between diverse entities and sensibilities.
Thanks to the patronage and support of the participating local authorities, admission to all events is free. The performances are designed to be accessible and suitable for all audiences, underscoring the festival’s inclusive and participatory spirit.
Art Festival 2026 thus establishes itself as an unmissable event of the summer in the Marche region, showcasing towns and cities through the energy of the performing arts while offering audiences innovative and engaging cultural experiences.
